Privilege Insurance is part of the Direct Line Group and was formed in 1994. Since 2004 they have focused on providing car insurance to careful drivers who have more than four years no claims bonus. Privilege also provide home insurance and policies can be taken out online or over the phone.
Privilege offer two levels of home insurance and are currently offering 10% discount to customers who also have Privilege car insurance. Privilege standard cover offers the usual buildings and contents cover with a range of optional extras. You can select contents cover up to £100,000 for cover in the home, garage and shed, and up to £1000 for garden contents. As standard you also recieve key cover meaning you will get replacement keys if yours are lost or stolen.
Standard buildings cover is up to £1,000,000 and Privilege offer alternative accomodation should your home be uninhabitable following an 'insured event'. Privilege buildings cover provides accidental damage cover to cables, underground pipes and drains and up to £5,000 to find and access the source of water and oil leaks.
Optional extras that you can add to your home insurance policy include Personal Possessions, Accidental Damage, Home Emergency and Family Legal Protection.
Privilege Platinum Home Insurance offers all of the above as standard including the optional extars but with a higher level of cover. Garden equipment cover is increased to £2500 and rebuilding cover is unlimited. Platinium cover also has a great range of extras that are included as standard:
