13/10/2008 There was a lot of text on this website but the travel insurance quotation form was easy to find and use, and was short. It didn't seem to work properly though - it kept reverting back to default travel dates rather than the ones I entered. It offered me four different insurance levels, starting at £5.78 and going up to £15.50 for their platinum option, which includes cover for airline failure - probably quite a prudent thing to have these days! I was impressed with their prices - even their platinum option was cheaper than the best quote I'd had elsewhere.
05/06/2008 I found this to be a well designed website offering a range of specialist travel insurance options. The alternatives are clearly labelled and it is possible to arrange either annual cover or just for specific trips. A nice touch is the set of links not just to travel guides and basic country information but to a website that covers a range of travel-related health issues. I found this particularly useful at indicating what sorts of inoculations etc might be needed for a given destination.
22/05/2008 As the name suggests, this is for travel insurance only. If you want to insure as a couple you must be living together - which I thought was a bit off, but hey! They give 3 set prices, and explain their cover well. Very reasonably priced with £46 being their platinum offer; and that even gives you emergency dental cover! And they have this wacky 'Talking nurse' service, so if you are ill and stuck abroad you can ring and talk to someone who will reassure you about your condition. Would definitely consider this one.
