26/10/2008 Most of Endsleigh's adverts focus on their student insurance services, but it seems they do home insurance, too. There are some problems with their online form, eg I ticked the box to say I didn't want buildings insurance, but still had to enter a date when I wanted it to start and a property rebuilding cost - it wasn't clear whether this affected my final quote. But in the end their quote was the lowest I've had, and included free accidental damage for TVs and hi-fis. So their quote was competitive but their site needs work.
12/06/2008 Endsleigh are designed especially for students and so I think we generally get a good deal with them (I had car insurance with them before and that was really good). So I did my personal belongings insurance with them this year for my student house and it was really easy to set up. The main thing I liked about it was that it was possible to select exactly the stuff which I owned which needed covering and I could also add on cover for accidental damage without it adding too much to the price. Seemed to give a better deal to my friend who was in their first year though, even though they asked for the exact same cover, and I'm not sure why!
10/06/2008 I found this an easy site to use. They offer a wide range of insurance provision but the specialisation around student insurance is useful. The cover even varies between full and part time students which makes it easy to ensure taking out the appropriate type of cover. It even offers differential insurance depending on particular halls of residence and its then easy to customise to fit particular needs.
23/05/2008 Have always thought Endsleigh a little stuffy and overpriced (I don't know how looking at a website makes me feel that, it just does!). But this site offers every type of insurance imaginable. The quote page is slow because it has some error on it that Internet Explorer doesn't like. However, the quote was very reasonable - one of the best, and it included a courtesy car at no extra cost. And coming from a real insurance company I thought this was great.
