10/09/2010 With ref to comment from 31/05/2010 Green flag don't have their own vans as they use a network of garages and recovery centres over the country, selecting the nearest to you in event of your breakdown.

02/09/2010 drove to italy and my engine went but green flag said that my car was not worth bringing back so i had to scrap it and no money is given back for my car, and took 3 days to get back because of there mistakes, very bad company.

31/05/2010 Green flag only cover the vehicle not the person, many more benifits being a personal member of the RAC or aa . When have you ever seen a green flag rescue van ?

21/05/2010 Took out personal cover and was told at the time that this would cover me on any vehicle. This was important to me as one of my cars is over 30 years old. I was told this was not a problem, however, when I broke down in said classic, this did become a problem, as they do not assist vehicles over 16 years old. So despite informing me that they would cover me, they do not- Don't get caught out like this! Needles to say my cover was soon cancelled.

15/03/2010 greenflag are not direct line insurance re 04/05/2008/. problem with people complaining they do not get their facts right. greenflag is a wholly owned company of rbsinsurance. other companies in that grp include direct line, privilege, churchill, uki

04/01/2010 been waiting 4 hours for the roadside assistance and still waiting i will be cancelling my policy with them they are a joke

23/12/2009 Broke down today with a loss of power and various engine managment lights on, I contacted Green Flag via the Highways Agency sos roadside phone. I sat at the road side for 2 1/2 hours and heard nothing from the tasked recovery company. I then contacted them to find out an ETA of the recovery, with no luck on this and my children needing to be collect within the hour I made the decision to contact them again and cancel the recovery. I then proceeded to lump my car the 15 miles home at 10 mph, im just hoping this hasn't caused any further damage.

09/12/2009 My sister has a policy with these Muppet's On December 10th 2009,She requested there assistance. She informed the call centre there were 4 people traveling and two of those were toddlers both under the age of two,guy turns up in a transit van?NO ROOM FOR FOR People,I Had to drive 15 miles to reach her and take her and her babies home at 1045pm.what a joke.

14/11/2009 Car misfiring and would only go at 40mph on 07/11/09 Greenflag called, the pensioner who turned up did not have a clue what to do to fix the car, told me to drive it home 160 miles to Plymouth. Complained to Greenflag, all their customer relations manager did was say sorry! Not good enough.

01/08/2009 More expensive than RAC and less helpful. Tried these out - would not use again. Unhelpful call centres misdirected me and recovery technicians - leading to wasted time and things not being fixed at roadside which could have easily been done. I have tried AA and RAC and initially cost lead me to Green Flag. However that "benefit" is no longer there and as the service from RAC was better I have returned to them. I would suggest that they are ok but not that great. Depends if you want a reliable operation that fixes most things - my experience suggests that poor communication leads to being recovered more often that things being fixed.

25/11/2008 Quoted over £40 cheaper than the AA and included Home Start, which the AA's quote did not include

02/11/2008 Green Flag offer vehicle breakdown insurance, for either your vehicle or for yourself. I wanted the latter option, so that I'll be covered regardless of whose vehicle I'm in. I found their quotation form a bit frustrating: when you clicked on a link to find out about cover details, it wasn't immediately clear how to get back to the form again. They quoted me £80.85 to provide breakdown cover for anyone driving my car, plus me driving any other car. It's a reasonable quote considering, but I'll look around a bit more first before I make a decision. Its not like there is a lot to choose from.

22/06/2008 Already had Green Flag breakdown cover in the past and they were really very good. The site lived up to all expectations. The quote process was a little bit long for breakdown cover, but it was all very open with the policy inclusions from the beginning. The option to not receive marketing materials was also obvious on the first page. Wasn't that keen on the section with all the conditions being on the third page in though and I would think it would be better to have it at the beginning so you don't bother filling in the form if you are excluded for any reason.

16/06/2008 This is a specialist car break down insurance site and, as such, clearly labels the main options - including temporary cover for driving in the EU. I found the levels of cover clearly set out and this gave me a quick idea as to the likely price of a particular policy. When I logged on the quote form was not available due to technical problems.

04/05/2008 A name we know and trust for breakdown cover! They are actually Direct Line insurance, which for me, is even better. They offer various cover. Site works brilliantly. Very inspiring. Would consider using as the level of confidence in the service would be very high.
