09/09/2008 My initial view is that this is a rather confusing website. The initial impression is that it is a specialist travel insurance company but they also appear to be generalist insurers of anything from mobile phones to medical insurance. The overall the impression is of no clear purpose rather than being presented with a well laid out set of options.
17/06/2008 Was a bit of a pain because you had to choose the exact country you were going to and I was planning on going to a couple. Then there was no phone number obvious on the page to contact them, you had to go to another page. Although they had quite long hours in the call centre it wasn't a free phone number. In the end had to select backpackers insurance and this seemed to be more expensive. It also only covered you if you were under 35 years old, which is a but ageist! Cover did seem to be pretty comprehensive though and automatically included personal belongings.
29/05/2008 A new one to me. Didn't like it much. Travel insurance alone. Roughly the same as other sites, but seems to act only for AXA and an Irish company called White Horse. Clicked to see what was covered. Found it to be really vague. You have to go through cover individually, and White Horse don't seem to cover passports, cancellation or anything much at all on their basic 'silver' cover. Would not recommend site, and definitely not consider the quotes.
