01/09/2011 One year on from the 31/8 comment that someone has made - -i have been trying for two weeks! Every day - -different times - -minimum 30 minutes before my home phone goes flat!!! As a result I currently have insurance on a car that I no longer own - -have taken out insurance with a different company for my new car as I couldnt get through to find out how much would cost!

23/08/2011 Have found the service & staff outstanding. When I wrote off my car they bent over backwards to get me mobile again, and the whole business took less than 4 weeks to complete - absolutely brilliant!
13/05/2011 I can't find any of their contact telephone numbers on-line anywhere... Obviously deliberate and a way of keeping complaints down! Rubbish.

29/09/2010 The website has obviously had a makeover and is VERY EASY to navigate and use. Also very fast. After being shafted by that popular RED TELEPHONE company I couldn't believe that I could get better cover at nearly HALF THE PRICE.. Definitely worth letting LV quote you for car and home insurance, I have saved over £600 today by renewing with them instead of the sharks I have been using for the past 3 years. Thank you LV=
08/09/2010 Very angry with Liverpool Vic, complained today as to why a Nationwide customer gets priority over Liverpool V's?? the idiot supervisor hung up!!!

29/08/2010 We took out car insurance with Liverpool Victoria through Nationwide Building Society and never have to wait more than a few minutes for assistance, poor customer service though.
28/08/2010 Had to wait 36 minutes for customer service, "Sorry sir, you are not priority customer!"
11/07/2010 Be very careful with LV's automatic policy renewal process - they send you renewal paperwork but do not make the process for cancelling clear - without you do anything they bombard you with letters chasing payment and threatening legal action - at no time giviing an explanation how to cancel - I have had 2 months of them chasing payment until they cancelled today -it might them a few bob in the short term but I won't insure wuth them again
29/12/2009 very pleased with my quote. i had some time over the holiday period to fish around on the computer. Be warned about automatic renewals, as my existing renewal quote, from a famous red telephone company whom I'd been with for 10 years without a claim, was £385 for house and contents insurance and after visiting the comparison sites i slashed my insurance down to £139. when i complained to my existing ins. co. they put me on a loyalty discount and reduced the renewal by £130. It still wasn't low enough but they are sly not to offer it without prompting. TOP TIP - ALWAYS GO FISHING AT RENEWAL TIME!
24/11/2009 We had a no-fault accident, and whilst quick to sort this out, the return of the excess was not so fast. After more than a year, we found out that the hold-up was that the file was sat on a desk because they didn't know the number of the police (to confirm the details). We googled the info whilst still on the phone to them. Not so impressive really. If we didn't chase, makes you wonder if we would still be waiting....
30/09/2009 I filled in forms twice and each time was diredted to the phone sales. feel that this is a ploy to make you call the number and get higher price insurance and not cheaper quote on internet...is this so?
18/09/2009 16/09/2009 put a claim in for water damage from our washing machine. damaged floor in kitchen cost me over £3000 to fix they paid out £325 after many many phone calls going back to febuary terrible company. lies lies I am now taking them to court
01/06/2009 absolute rubbish.....was in a que on the phone for over an hour an half.....whilst bein told was in a que an call would be answered SHORTLY what a joke
01/11/2008 Got a little concerned when I got transferred to lvgirqp.co.uk for a quote. I was the victim of bank account fraud (fishing?) last year after accidentally downloading spyware and am now very wary about the web address in the browser. There should be some warning that you're going to leave the lv website. I filled in the form in the end after checking it wasn't a fraudulent site with their customer support team.
25/10/2008 Liverpool Victoria's travel insurance quote form starts by asking for details of past claims, which is not standard. It also lists caveats about pre-existing medical conditions before it will give you a quote. The "address finder" part of the form was slow. But despite these drawbacks, the quote it gave me for a two-week trip to Europe was the second lowest I've found anywhere, so I might consider using them as the brand is a better known one. Though I was confused about the "online discount" that my quote supposedly included, since it didn't tell me how much of a discount I was getting.
11/06/2008 This site was really very easy to use and all of the important information was not only available but highlighted clearly. No excess on the single trip policy was over £50 but there did seem to be more things where the excess applied than on some other policies. I also liked the way that you had to answer 'yes' or 'no' to each of the assumptions, because to be honest I don't normally bother reading them! Even though this made the whole quote process slightly longer than it is on some other sites it was still overall very quick and simple to do.
09/06/2008 This is a frustrating website as it is very slow to load (maybe my PC). However, if you stick with it then it is easy enough to find the cover you need. Setting up a travel insurance policy was easy enough as long as you want a reasonably standard option with no particular special features.
22/05/2008 Would not recommend this site! Get on the phone if you want to use this company. I tried to get quotes for my car, my cats and finally succeeded with yearly travel insurance which was not cheap. Nice looking site, but each quote system has been set up differently. So you get so far, and then it gets stuck. Like telling you to enter a date when you clearly have; or as with the car quote just keeps saying £0 - you have change your details. More than happy to pay £0 for my car insurance!
