12/02/2009 i am extremely happy with my current insurer ( pru-health) they might have changed the gym structure but benefits me highly as i am a platinum member
20/10/2008 I took up the pru health insurance because of the free gym membership. The communication between the gym and Pru was terrible and i was repeatedly charged for not using the gym when i had been attending regularly! I was the one who had to chase the gym to get them to verify my visits and get my money back. Not worth the effort! (plus this year they are removing the FREE gym membership which removes the only incentive!)
05/10/2008 Didn't find their front page the easiest to navigate - the tabs for different services are tucked up at the top of the page and didn't jump out at me. They offer a 10% discount when you book online - not that impressive since some of the other sites I've looked at offer up to 25% off. Their online quote form was short and fairly standard, but the price they quoted was well over twice the price other companies offered me. Based on this quote, there is no way I would use the Prudential to insure my car.
30/07/2008 On deciding to get health insurance I specifically chose Prudential because of the security I associate with the brand name. After filling in the online form it was nothing but chaos, exasberated by the poor accents of the Indian call center that kept ringing me to ask me for things I'd already sent. In the end they said they'd lost my paperwork ... you know, my private medical details! Two months now, I'll have to start again with someone else.
06/06/2008 Front page rambled on a bit about all of the benefits of the policy. Free phone number no use as I have a mobile phone. Made it dead clear about who was the underwriter of the policy which was surprising as it was a better deal on here then on that company's actual Web site which I checked an hour ago. Like the way that the option for receiving newsletters etc. was automatically set to 'no' unless you changed it. However the option which asked about passing details to other companies wasn't. Most of the rest of the car quote was pretty bog standard and only asked for necessary info.
28/05/2008 When I first opened up this site, it was quite confusing as to how to access the insurance options. This made it rather difficult to find the information I was seeking. When I finally found the insurance pages, the range of products on offer is limited and the quotation forms are not very easy to use. Unless I had a specific reason to use the Prudential, then their web site would put me off checking them out any further.
16/05/2008 A reassuringly sensible site. Courtesy car as standard and 5 year guarantee on repairs. Brilliant. Couldn't get on the site to get a quote for car or contents on Saturday. Finally on site next day! Standard form to fill, but they want me to say my car is worth over £1000, which sadly it isn't! Quote is standard price, but if you take into account the courtesy car, it is not too bad. Would probably opt for the cheaper options though!
