06/01/2010 Tesco Pet Insurance - basically if you do not get your pets continuously vaccinated, then they will not pay up because they will say that the treatment could have been avoided. I have just had treatment for one of my pets, and we asked our if this was a result that the vaccinations were not kept up to date. He said no and even filled in our claim forms! So it is my vets word against theirs........only one winners then....off to cancel other poilcies and cards I have with them now!

11/12/2009 Ihad an accident 3 months ago. The first in my life. I cannot begin to say how outraged I have been with the customer service I received from Tesco. All my calls ignored.. My complaints cancelled without my knowledge and up to this day I still don't know whats going on. Because my claim was ongoing at the time of my renewal i was informed TWICE that because of the claim i would have to wait for the renewal until the claim was sorted...... Found out 2 weeks after renewal date I was no longer insured. Strangly enough they could not find the calls i made to renew - the calls that i was given the wrong information. Three times I called to make the same complaint and i was ignored. It gets worse so be aware of tesco insurance.

13/08/2009 Tesco Dentalcare ... For the first time I thought I would take out the Axa Dental Cars Ins through Tescos as I am a private patienmt & just look at the policy being a savings scheme to pay for fees. I HAVE NOT been impressed one bit. Firstly I had my dentist compelte the form, put on the practice stamp, had a receipt via chip & pin with th practice name on it & dentist signed the paperwork. I only had 1 small filling & usual check up fees. It was turned down as they ask for a 'Dental Plan of Action'? So revisited the dentist got a letter headed letter with a further detailed breakdown of my treatment. ... bottom line add 2 weeks on top of 10 days & you may be somewhere there, I don't even know if I am getting my £70 yet . Not very professional at all, find someone else as I'm cancelling.

25/03/2009 I had taken out a 1 year cover for travel insurance.Unfortunately i had to make a claim for lost spectacles.I was asked to send in train tickets& travel documents to proceed with the claim.1 week ago i was told that my claim was going ahead.today i was told that the claim had been refused.i found tesco insurance staff to be incompetent and unprofessional.i would not reccommend travel insurance with this company.

14/10/2008 Tesco's website was easy to use and there's a clear link to their finance section at the top of the page. They're currently offering £5 off groceries or petrol if you buy travel insurance online, which good although I would have preferred to get a discount on my insurance and then spend the money where ever I wanted! Their quote form is very short with just a few questions and though their quote wasn't the cheapest, it wasn't far off it. Their cover didn't include baggage though, and I couldn't see any way to add this to my policy. I'm not going to use them as I can get cheaper cover elsewhere with that included.

30/07/2008 Have bought their car warranty cover as they are miles cheaper and more comprehensive than anywhere else, even those 'we are specialists and you get better cover and cheaper prices going direct with us' type sites that were £200-£300 more expensive. Whether Tesco's will be any good once something goes wrong remains to be seen, but I trust the fact that they have a lot more to lose from a bad reputation than these unheard of 'specialists'!

06/06/2008 When completing a form to ask for a quote, I feel they want too much information (eg when my house insurance is due for renewal if I'm looking for a car insurance quote) as I do not want to be contacted by follow up phone calls/emails trying to sell me additional insurance. I personally was not attracted by their decision to provide the discounts for online purchase in the form of money off future shopping at Tescos, and I might be tempted to use a site that offered a simple cash reduction. Something I found, but this maybe due to the PC I was using, was that a lot of the links led to my machine crashing when I either tried to open them or to close them down.

24/05/2008 Good offer of £40 free shopping at Tesco if you join before September - which I find particularly annoying, as I currently used Tesco and I want my free shopping! Came out with a very high quote, much higher than any of the previous suppliers I looked at. They do offer every kind of insurance - and their dental insurance, I thought, was a really good offer.
