Elephant is the trading name of EUI Limited, a subsidiary of the Admiral Group. Launched in 2000, at the time it was the only wholly online car insurance provider although it now has call centres. Elephant can be best identified by 'Trunkie' the animated elephtant who appears in their TV adverts and is now voiced by actor Nick Frost.
Elephant offer both single trip and annual trip policies as standard, but also offer winter sports, golf and cruise holiday insurance as well. All policies offer a 24 hour helpline, up to £10 million medical expenses cover and up to £50k of personal accident cover. The Winter Sport policy covers you for skiing and snowboarding, and you will also be covered for glacier skiing, big foot skiing, snowmobiling and tobogganing. The policy also covers any winter sports equipment you own or hire, and also against piste closure and delays caused by avalanche. You're even covered off-piste as long as you're skiing within local ski patrol guidelines.
